HEY, goal chaser:
Does running your business bring you as much joy as photographing?
Imagine :
Gone are the days of feeling uneasy and uncertain when figuring out your rates. You have the knowledge and confidence to establish fair and profitable rates, ensuring that your valuable skills are properly compensated and that you're making a living.
Your imposter syndrome no longer holds you back from reaching out to potential brands and agencies to work with.
You can navigate licensing agreements with ease, protecting both your creative work and your clients' interests. This newfound clarity and professionalism will not only elevate your business but also foster long-lasting relationships built on trust and mutual respect.
But if you're anything like each of us after a few years of going at it alone, we were so tired of trying to piecemeal together the answers from searches, books, social posts, webinars and YouTube videos. We each just wanted someone to answer our questions and help luminate the path forward.
With over 30 collective years together, we are on a mission to teach, support and guide all those who are ready to embrace their vision and put in the hard work to be a commercial photographer or creative.
We work towards mastery in developing and refining systems for finances, marketing, client management, and upleveling our creative skills though portfolio challenges and reviews. We tackle the intricacies of working with brands, publishers, and ad agencies, as well as we bring in guest speakers to learn about their methods and insights into the commercial world and their business.
"This group has given me so much..."
from a community of like minded professionals to incredible nuggets of knowledge from Shelly and the numerous guests that have visited. It started as a way for me to connect with fellow photographers during one of the scariest times of the pandemic, and has become an integral part in my business success. All the valuable info from systems to pricing to pitching, even how to handle scope creep and difficult clients, has been imperative to my business growth. Most of all being around other fantastic creatives that I probably wouldn't have otherwise met has been the most beneficial part of the mentorship. Thanks for all the hard work and effort you've put into this, Shelly!

"The group allowed me to pass that line of 'I'm fraud with a camera' to 'I am a legit photographer and food stylist."
I learned how to pitch from [the mentorship], then how to have a successful CRM, then how to execute an on-location shoot, while also being able to have the confidence to stand by my prices.
The group allowed me to pass that line of "I'm fraud with a camera" to "I am a legit photographer and food stylist with my own company". Our meetings, exercises, and chats, facilitated and motivated all the pitches, all the negotiations, and without Shelly, Im pretty sure this would not have taken off the way it has.
